Social Enterprise Development

This project focus at empowering community members with business and entrepreneurship skills through business training, coaching and mentorship to help them develop innovative solutions that tackle most pressing local community challenges in their localities in the field of environment, poverty, education, health, digital technology and gender inequality among others.

In training of beneficiaries, Empowerment for the poor-uganda uses transformative models essential for driving social change.

The program therefore empowers trainees with business training skills that enable them start up and develop different businesses. We have helped young and women entrepreneurs to start different ventures in the area of beekeeping, tree planting, craft making, transport, tourism and leisure, events management, beauty shops, shoe making, carpentry workshops, poultry and brick laying among others.

The program is implemented in Kampala, Masaka, Kiboga, Wakiso and Mityana districts. EFPU also empowers local women to add value on their products, connect them to market opportunities and also help them get capital funding. Our efforts have so far impacted 108 most deserving people.
